Remove grease, dirt, and residue
Lightly sand all cabinet surfaces
Fill holes, dents, and imperfections with wood filler
Sand repaired areas smooth
Vacuum and wipe away all dust
Tape off walls, counters, appliances, and hinges if needed
Apply primer suitable for cabinets
Let primer dry completely
Lightly sand primed surfaces
Wipe away sanding dust
Apply the first coat of cabinet paint
Let the paint dry fully
Apply a second coat of paint
Add a third coat if needed for coverage
Let cabinets cure fully before reassembly
Reinstall hardware, doors, and drawers
Adjust hinges and alignment if needed
Avoid heavy use until the paint has fully cured
