Turn off the Ryobi weed wacker and remove the battery or unplug it
Wear gloves and safety glasses
Remove the trimmer head cap or spool cover
Take out the empty spool
Cut the correct trimmer line to the recommended length
Align the line with the spool’s center hole or arrow marks
Wind the line tightly and evenly in the direction shown on the spool
Leave the required amount of line free at the ends
Insert the spool back into the trimmer head
Thread the line ends through the eyelets
Reinstall the cap or cover securely
Pull the line ends to confirm they feed properly
Reinstall the battery or plug it back in
Test the trimmer briefly and adjust if needed
