Wash the skin immediately with soap and cool water

Wash clothing, shoes, tools, and pets that may have touched the plant
Apply cool compresses to the itchy areas
Take an oatmeal bath
Use calamine lotion
Use hydrocortisone cream on affected skin
Take an oral antihistamine if needed
Keep nails short and avoid scratching
Use cool, loose-fitting clothing
Avoid hot showers and heavy sweating
Seek medical care if the rash is severe, widespread, or on the face or genitals
Seek medical care if there is swelling, pus, fever, or trouble breathing
