Find the DOT code on the tire sidewall
Look for the last four digits of the DOT code
Read the first two of those digits as the week of manufacture
Read the last two of those digits as the year of manufacture
Example: 2319 means the 23rd week of 2019
Check both sidewalls if the full DOT code is not visible on one side
Replace tires that are too old even if tread remains
Consider a professional inspection if the DOT code is missing or unreadable
