Leave the corn in its husk if it has one
Trim any long silk or loose ends if needed
Place the corn on a microwave-safe plate
Microwave on high for 3 to 5 minutes for one ear
Add 1 to 2 minutes for each additional ear
Let it rest for 1 to 2 minutes after microwaving
Use oven mitts or a towel to handle the hot corn
Cut off the stem end if cooking in the husk
Peel back the husk and remove the silk
Serve with butter, salt, or seasonings if desired
