How to Flush the Sinuses?

Use a saline nasal rinse with sterile, distilled, or previously boiled water

Use a neti pot, squeeze bottle, or nasal irrigation device

Lean over a sink and tilt your head slightly forward and to one side

Insert the spout into the upper nostril

Breathe through your mouth

Let the saline flow through the nasal cavity and out the other nostril or mouth

Repeat on the other side

Blow your nose gently after rinsing

Use warm saline if comfortable

Clean and air-dry the device after each use

Use saline nasal spray for a gentler option

Stay hydrated

Use steam inhalation or a warm shower to loosen mucus

Avoid using tap water unless it has been boiled and cooled or is sterile

Stop and seek medical advice if you have severe pain, frequent nosebleeds, or symptoms that worsen
