Choose a sunny location with well-draining soil
Clear the area of weeds, rocks, and debris
Loosen the top 2 to 4 inches of soil
Mix in sand or fine gravel if the soil drains poorly
Rake the soil smooth and level
Scatter creeping thyme seeds lightly over the soil surface
Press the seeds gently into the soil without burying them deeply
Cover the seeds with a very thin layer of soil or vermiculite if needed
Mist the area lightly to moisten the soil
Keep the soil consistently moist until germination
Avoid overwatering or letting the soil become soggy
Thin seedlings if they grow too crowded
Water less often once plants are established
Trim lightly to encourage spreading growth
