Choose a healthy string of pearls plant with long, trailing stems
Use clean, sharp scissors or pruning shears
Cut a healthy stem section with several pearls and at least one node
Remove a few pearls from the lower part of the cutting to expose nodes
Let the cut end dry and callus for 1 to 2 days
Prepare a pot with well-draining succulent or cactus soil
Lay the cutting on top of the soil with nodes touching the surface
Lightly pin the stem to the soil if needed
Keep the soil slightly moist, not wet
Place the pot in bright, indirect light
Wait for roots to form before watering more heavily
Mist lightly only if the soil dries out completely
Separate and plant rooted sections once new growth appears
Avoid overwatering during the rooting period
