How To Grow Spinach?

Choose a cool season with temperatures between 50°F and 70°F

Select a location with full sun to partial shade

Use well-drained, fertile soil rich in organic matter

Prepare the soil by loosening it and mixing in compost

Sow seeds directly in the garden about 1/2 inch deep

Space seeds 1 to 2 inches apart in rows 12 to 18 inches apart

Keep the soil consistently moist until seeds germinate

Thin seedlings to 3 to 6 inches apart once they are established

Water regularly to prevent the soil from drying out

Apply mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds

Feed lightly with a balanced fertilizer if needed

Harvest outer leaves when they are large enough to eat

Pick the entire plant when it reaches full size if desired

Harvest before plants bolt and become bitter

Replant every few weeks for a continuous harvest
