Thread the braided line through the eye of the hook, lure, or swivel
Wrap the tag end around the standing line 7 to 10 times
Pass the tag end back through the loop near the eye
Pass the tag end through the same loop a second time if using a Palomar knot
Moisten the knot with water or saliva
Pull both the standing line and tag end slowly to tighten
Slide the coils neatly into place
Trim the excess tag end close to the knot
Check the knot for firmness before casting
