Leave a long tag end below the hook
Form a simple overhand loop with the tag end and main line
Pass the hook through the loop
Wrap the hook and loop around the hook shank 5 to 8 times
Hold the wraps in place
Pull the tag end to tighten the knot
Pull the main line to seat the knot on the hook eye
Adjust the hook so the point faces up
Tie the dropper weight to the tag end below the hook
