Meet the eligibility requirements
Be at least 18 years old
Be a legal resident of Florida
Be able to read, write, and understand English
Have no felony conviction unless civil rights have been restored
Complete a Florida notary education course
Obtain a $7,500 notary bond
Purchase errors and omissions insurance if desired
Apply through a Florida notary bonding agency
Submit the completed application with the required fee
Take the oath of office
Receive your notary commission from the state
Purchase notary supplies
Begin performing notarial acts in accordance with Florida law
