File or nick the hard seed coat until the lighter inner layer is just visible
Soak the seeds in warm water
Keep the water warm and change it daily
Wait for the seeds to swell and sprout
Once sprouted, move them to a container with mud or heavy soil
Cover the roots lightly and keep the growing point above the soil
Place the container in full sun
Maintain warm, still water above the soil surface
Transplant to a larger pond or container after the plant is established
