Drain pasta and rinse under cold water
Let pasta cool completely
Chop vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, and red onion
Add olives, cheese, or protein if desired
Make dressing with olive oil, vinegar or lemon juice, salt, pepper, and herbs
Combine pasta, vegetables, and dressing in a large bowl
Toss until evenly coated
Taste and adjust seasoning
Chill before serving if desired
