Remove the seeds
Separate the seeds from the flesh
Rinse the seeds in water
Dry the seeds on a paper towel for several days
Fill a seed tray or small pots with seed-starting mix

Place the tray in a warm location
Keep the soil consistently moist
Provide bright light after germination
Transplant seedlings when they have several true leaves
Harden off seedlings before moving them outdoors
Plant outdoors after all frost danger has passed
Space plants about 18 to 24 inches apart
