Park the car on a level surface and let the engine cool completely
Open the hood and locate the coolant reservoir
Check the coolant level against the MIN and MAX marks
If needed, slowly remove the reservoir cap
Use the coolant type specified in the owner’s manual
Pour coolant into the reservoir until it reaches the MAX line
Do not overfill
If your car requires it, add a coolant and water mixture in the correct ratio
Reinstall the reservoir cap securely
Check for any leaks around the reservoir and hoses
Start the engine and let it run briefly
Recheck the coolant level after the engine cools again
