Drink plenty of fluids

Suck on lozenges or hard candy
Avoid dairy if it seems to worsen symptoms
Manage acid reflux if it is contributing
See a doctor if symptoms last more than 10 days, are severe, or include fever, facial pain, or trouble breathing
