Cut fries evenly and not too thick
Soak cut fries in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch
Dry fries completely with a towel
Toss with a small amount of cornstarch
Use just enough oil to coat lightly
Spread fries in a single layer on the baking sheet
Do not overcrowd the pan
Bake at a high temperature, around 425°F to 450°F
Flip fries halfway through cooking
Use a preheated baking sheet or air fryer basket
Salt after cooking
Serve immediately for best crispiness
